Love our aesthetic? We're looking for a Textile Designer (Contract) to bring our Pop Culture designs to life through our product. This role will design textile prints and graphics by collaborating with Design and Product Development Teams for Hot Topic, BoxLunch and Her Universe.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and will require to work from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA three days a week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work closely with our Art Team Manager to develop unique and original textile prints and graphics for DTR Licensed Fashion apparel. Create and present print concepts to design team and merchant partners.
  • Produce print ready repeats from Licensed artwork, editing, recoloring and matching colors to Pantone standards.
  • Design and redesign badge graphics using Licensor assets.
  • Use Photoshop and Illustrator to prepare, modify, and resize artwork; collaborating with product development and design team to articulates printing and design techniques to factories.
  • Impeccable time and work management while working remotely.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Certification or education in graphic arts or textile design required.
  • 3+ years of textile design work experience in a wholesale/vertical business.
  • Expert in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Ability to hand draw or recreate artwork based on given style and techniques.
  • Experience working with Licenses a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction and all creative techniques in relation to silk screening, embroidery, sublimation, embellishment, woven plaids and dying treatments.
